These Crispy Sweet Potato Fries are so addictive. They are perfect as an appetizer, snack or alongside your favorite burger. I promise you’re gonna love them.
I'm so excited to be able to share with you one of my family's favorites, - my Crispy Oven-Baked Sweet Potato Fries. These are so good and I pretty much make these every week. We usually enjoy these with a hamburger steak, but they make a great snack or appetizer as well. I absolutely LOVE sweet potatoes and they have so many health benefits. This recipe is also Whole30 and Paleo-friendly.
Here is everything you need to make these delicious fries:
These fries are made with only good for you ingredients, especially the oil that I use. I use avocado oil because avocado oil will not cause inflammation in the body like certain oils do, such as peanut or canola oil. Also, avocado oil is great for cooking recipes that are cooked at high heat.
We love sweet potatoes around here and eat them often. I have so many recipes using this nutritious vegetable. Several years back, I eliminated white potatoes from my diet except for an occasional treat. White potatoes are very high in carbohydrates and natural sugar which drives up inflammation markers in the body, not to mention weight gain...therefore we don't eat a lot of potatoes around here anymore. I go more into detail about this in my latest soup post, my low-carb Creamy “No Potato” Soup Recipe. So be sure to check that out as well.
These fries are so simple and easy to make. Here's what you do:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cut sweet potatoes into desired fry shape making sure they are all cut about the same size to cook evenly.
In a large bowl, toss the fries in avocado oil and spices coating liberally with oil to make sure potatoes cook properly.
Spread fries onto two baking sheets making sure the fries are not touching. If they are touching one another, they will steam instead of crisp.
Place the baking sheet on the upper middle rack of oven. You can cook the second pan of fries on the lower rack or wait until the first batch is ready. Do make sure you keep an eye on the lower rack fries because they will cook faster.
Bake for 20 minutes. Take out of oven, turn over with tongs and bake another 15 to 20 minutes until crispy.
Take out of the oven, garnish with parsley and sprinkle with sea salt. Enjoy!
I love that these are SO easy to make and of course healthy too!
These fries are so simple to make and I know you’re gonna love them! They are definitely a family favorite around here!
